Ways to protect the face from the sun |
- Usually people feel that the sun's Rays are gentle and do not harm the epidermis or skin, but they are completely different, especially in the summer, when the sun shines for many hours, intensifying its rays, and its effects may not be immediately apparent.
- Over time and repeated exposure to the sun for long periods; its effects appear on the skin in the form of wrinkles and skin spots, and prolonged exposure to sunlight may lead to skin cancer.
- The sun's ultraviolet rays damage the fibers in the skin, which are called "elastin", which help the epidermis to return to its original position when accidentally damaged or altered.
- But when these fibers break down, the skin begins to sag and stretch, traces of bruises appear, and healing takes longer.
- Freckles and skin pigmentation
Spending a lot of time under the ultraviolet rays of the sun, especially in the summer, can cause the skin to develop freckles, rough texture and white spots, as well as yellowing and discoloration of the skin, as well as the expansion of small blood vessels under the skin.
And the "Web Med" medical reports website published a report that monitors nine tips to protect the skin from harmful sunlight during the summer:
- Apply harmful sunscreen creams to protect the skin from ultraviolet rays, and it is advisable to apply this cream 15 minutes before going outside and being exposed to sunlight.
- Reapply harmful sunscreen creams at least every eighty minutes from the first time, if you are still exposed to the sun, especially on summer holidays, when people are sitting on the beaches, exposed to water and constantly sweating.
- Wear sunglasses.
- Wear wide-brimmed hats, T-shirts and trousers with long sleeves.
- Avoid sun exposure as much as possible from ten in the morning to two in the evening.
- Check the skin regularly so that you know its nature, watch for any skin changes or spots that appear on it.
- The need to choose cosmetics and contact lenses that provide protection from ultraviolet radiation.
- If you take your children outside, you should protect your baby's skin and provide it with the same protection as yours, on top of which are sunscreen creams.
- Not using a tanning bed (sunbathing), which is a device equipped with a bed that produces ultraviolet rays to give the skin a tan color.
The device consists of two parts: the lower one resembles a bed, the upper one is a cover along the bed itself, resembling a case of glasses, and the two parts consist of fluorescent lamps covered from the inside with phosphors, which produce an ultraviolet spectrum resembling sunlight.
